Our policies
We take old gold in exchange against the day's rate. Here's how the valuation works, and what to bring.
Old gold is valued at the rate on the day you bring it in — the same live rate the rest of our pricing is built on. Gold is worth what gold is worth; we do not mark it down to make an offer look generous elsewhere.
At the counter we do three things, in front of you:
Please bring the original bill if you have it, along with any certificate that came with the piece, and a photo ID. If you no longer have the bill, come in anyway — bring the piece and we will tell you exactly where you stand before anything is agreed.
Deductions and the final figure depend on the piece — its purity, condition, and whether stones are set into it. We will show you the working and confirm the exact amount with you before any exchange is completed. Nothing is finalised until you have seen the numbers.
